    Good deal or bad for $500?

    Have you guys heard of the following? Any reviews/input on how they are and prices?

    I found a deal on these 3 with remote and manuals for $500. Is it a good deal?

    ROTEL RSP-980 THX SURROUND SOUND PROCESSOR
    ROTEL RDA-975 DIGITAL SURROUND ADAPTER
    ROTEL RDA-985 DTS SURROUND DECODER

      I'd pass. While the threesome is nice if you want a lot of equipment, a newer processor can do the same thing as the 975 and 985 with one small chip.

      You should be able to get a RSP-976 for the same money. Probably even an RSP-985. Both will surpass what all three boxes are capable of and sound better.
