    Hi Omar,

The picture quality depends upon the combination of the source and display devices, and there's no way you can predict whether the digital (i.e. HDMI) or the analogue (i.e. component) connection will provide a better picture. Using the same plasma display a DVD player may look better through its HDMI output, while a satellite or cable box looks better through its component output. The only way you can find out which will provide a better picture is to try both connections.

    Regards,
    Nigel.

I'm trying to decide which way to go when I hook up my new HD plasma display.

Setup #1: My receiver (Denon 3805) has component out which I'm thinking of connecting to the plasma. I would then connect my Tivo HR10-250 box with either S Video or Component to the receiver which will...

There has been much Hoopla about Hdmi , as far as it being a straight

for HD-DVD and Blue Ray via the upcoming 1.3 HDMI interface..
Is it just me, or does HDMI video source not look as good as

I wish I could make this non-model specific, but so far, this is all I know of actually delivering to consumers. Got an Integra press release today.

Looks AMAZING for only $800! Note the deep color capability, Audyssey room correction, HDMI upconversion, and HD audio decoding!
