(this time) It's a THX curiosity...

Just been watching Prince of Egypt, boy oh boy does the AV32R handle that sound mix well. I was messing with THX whilst watching bits of it, left it on, but as the disc hit the layer change THX processing was automaticaly switched off. This also happens when I chapter skip and fast forward through the disc... Is this normal?

    v3.2 running.

WHoa, not sure exactly how I missed this one, but Doug pointed it out to me (thank you sir).
I assume by now you've discovered this has to do with the lack of EX flag. We're still scratching our heads on this one, hence the auto Ex and manual version in the code. If the authoring guys would just set the darn flag, life would be much simpler (you'll note the DTS one works great, they seem to have been able to ensure the flag was set).

Most interesting. Thanks, Buzz. I do love how downloadable upgrades fix problems with the TAG, no having to take it back for inspection and what have you.

        My 1098 Buzz Story
        by w6000
I had a buzz from the tweeter's on my 5.1 setup- Rotel 1098/1075. The cause of the Buzz was dimmer switches on the same circut as the 1098. But the Buzz was also present when dimmer switches on other circuts were active. Now here is the interesting part. I only get the Buzz when i am using the 1098...

Getting rid of a nasty buzz
        by bigburner
A nasty buzz recently developed in my system. It started after some rewiring to accommodate a new external DAC. The buzz increased as the system warmed up. After an hour I could just hear the buzz from my listening position with the volume turned down to zero. As you will appreciate this was a totally...

        Need Help/Advice - RSP-1068 Buzz/Hum
        by pciav
I've owned my RSP-1068 since July of 2004. My boss and I purchased units at the same time from the same dealer. In general I love it. I paired it with an ATI 1806 Amplifier and everything has been great until just before Christmas when I first noticed a buzzing sound. I say buzz, because I liken...
