never seen a nuforce product but they do get very good review, especially their p-8 preamp. i have a friend that has one and he loves it. might even consider one myself . they are releasing a p-9 later during the year which is suppose to be very special and a mega dollar p-10 sometime next year. love to see a comparison between nuforce and bryston

as for their avp16, i hear its a pretty basic unit. very new and i have not seen any independent reviews on it.

        tell us more lvhung

        cheers,

        julie

Upgrade Proceed PRE & PDP to a Proceed AVP?
          by timjclark
I currently use a Proceed PRE as my 2-channel preamp and use the SSP pass through from my Rotel rsp-1069 for integration into my home theater. I also have a Proceed CDD transport and Proceed PDP D/A for cds.

I am toying with replacing the PRE and the PDP with an AVP. The AVP being newer...

          Sad story on Rotel service
          by Miguel
          Hi everyone,

This email is a combination of a request for moral support and a question...

Here's my story... I've owned a RSX-1055 for about 3 years now, and I'm very happy with it. Fantastic gear. Great sound. Until one day, it started to make some weird noises through...

The Future of the Proceed AVP
          by greynolds
Finally, Proceed has made an announcement about the forthcoming upgrade for the AVP. Quite frankly, they are pretty vague about specific features and the cost, but at least they have made an announcement. What follows is the announcement from their web page (Proceed/Mark Levinson News):

          Proceed AVP-S price drop?
          by utkinpol
          Hi,

I see quite some amount of those units for sale on Ebay and on lists with dramatic price drops down to $500-$700 in average.
Is this once considered quite remarkable unit still good for a setup with 2channel and sub?

I have 3 digital sources plus Sony dvp-s7700...

          RSP-1066 VS Proceed AVP
          by Oscar135
Has anyone had an opportunity to compare the AVP to the 1066? A used AVP is slowly reaching the price point of the Rotel.
