    Rotel's 500 watt x 2 Digital Amps

My dealer here in Seattle, WA (Definitive Audio) says he will have them in Mid February. Anyone have pictures of these yet off the internet? Thanks!

Pretty sure they look (or did last January) just like the 1077.

Do not hold me to this but I think the RB-1091 is going to cost $1500.00 US and the RB-1092 is going to cost $2500.00 US. I could be wrong but I think that is what they are going to be.

Both are 500W into 8 ohm and 1000W into 4 ohm...

                    Sweet...

The idea is an RB-1092 + RB-1091 for a perfect 3 channel front stage...

My spies tell me Rotel are finally happy and have teaked the RB-1091 and 1092 to sound even better than the 1077... They also tell me that a pair of RB-1092s use to bi-amp the B&W 800D's is something to make the jaw drop... Everyone who's heard searches for the subwoofer...

from the pics, they look fantastic.

If the RB1091 comes in at US$1500 = R9 900 (South African Rands), I'm definately upgrading to them mid-next year. That means two fantastic Class D mono-blocks for under R20 000 :T . I'm concerned though that we will not get it at that price ( :M ) because the RMB1077 is already priced at R23500 (US$3500). How much in the US??? this is definately going to dampen my excitement for upgrades....
                      Regards :T,

I have postponed my upgrade plans until these amps become available. I was pretty impressed with the RMB-1077 as it was. If the 1091 and 1092 are the slightest bit better it could end up a being no brainer upgrade for me.

If the RSP-1098 upgrade is replete with improvements too, especially if it adopted a real analog volume control, I would be all in. The Bryston SP2 and Classe' SSP-300 pre/pro's are magnificent for movie lovers that don't want to compromise their music. The RSP-1098 in its current manifestation is simply no match.

This is my first stroll over here to the rotel area....
And what am I reading... the 1091... a 500 watt mono amp that is gonna retail for $1500 US is to be released in the spring???

If this is true..and im understanding this correct, my amp upgrades will wait till then..

(just learning all the rotel models and what not)

The top one is the RCD-1072 CD Player ($700), and the component below looks like the RC-1090 Stereo Preamplifier ($1200 - DISCONTINUED).

Rotel right now is only offering the RC-1070 Stereo Preamplifier ($500), and has not shown a replacement for the RC-1090.

                                    Kevin D.,

Looking at the photo mattburk posted, the RB-1091 and RB-1092 have the faux(?) black heatsinks in the front, while the RMB-1077's flat front panel extends all the way to the handles.

I had noticed that, a welcome addition. The 1077 is a little 'plain'.
