    my 1098 is acting up!!

    Hey fellow Rotelians...last week my 1098 decided during CD playback to emit a loud relay click and go silent! I tried swithing sources and it was silent for all. Only when I turned it off then on again did it resume playback, this happens approx. every 3 hours or so...I got the 1098 in June 2004 and has worked perfectly until last week.
    Any similar issues??

          Indeed, sounds like a job for Rotel consultants.

          Just ensure it's not the cables, replace and test, Cable 101.

              Without any problems what so ever for 3 years, my RSP started cutting out during both movie, cable and cd playback. It sometimes makes a loud scary sound, but mostly, it just goes silent. I can't remember if I hear the relays or not. I just turn it off and back on, and it works fine.. ...

              Hi,

              My setup is: 1098,1075,1050
              and the problem is that when I play a DVD or a CD a get after few minutes a sudden silent break. It is seldom or never at the same place at the discs, the only thing thats certain is that it will occour from time to time, and it is really annoying....
