Problems with a buzzing sound when playing CD's

    hi everyone.

i'm new to this board, so i'll try to be polite.
by the way, i only write with small letters as it goes much faster for me, not being acustomed with too much english writing and all.

well, i've been directed here from a norwegian av-forum, as this was the real haven for rotel-users. a lot of rotel-specialists here i've been told. :T
i really hope we (you) can get this sorted out.

    this is my setup.
    i got a rmb-1075 power-amp, a rsp-1068 pre-amp, and a denon dvd-2910 signalsource (used both with dvd's and cd's).
the connections are made with the kimber hero between power and pre, and a supra digital coax between the pre and the source.
i use the dac in the pre, as it probably is better than the one in the source.
i have three-way loudspeakers, jmlab 926 electra, and the buzz comes from inverted treble dome. i just have a stero system for now.

    this happens:

today i bought this wonderfull diana krall cd, love scenes and as the cd just contains a few instruments (vocal, piano, guitar and contrabass/bass) i though i was in for a real threat (great easy-listening music imo).

however, after the cd had spun a couple of times i heard this incredible annoying buzzing, particulary at the higher volum levels around 65-70.
at this stage the buzz is so "active" so to speak, that the music becomes totally destroyed.

i was wondering, is this just an insanely bad recorded cd, or are there some problems with my setup. i lean towards the last option.
furthermore i used the standard pcm-bitrate and the speakers are set to "large" in the osd-option on my preamp.
the system is "hot", as it has been turned on since sunday evening, this is therefore not due to the fact of "cold" electronics.

i hope someone here as an idea of what's wrong with my setup.

i'll be thankfull for all your help.

ps: please regard my type-o's. english isn't my mother tounge. :W

    cheers

Well apparently you've never had a problem before with your setup. I'd be more inclined to say there's something with the CD. Have you tried the CD in anything else (outside of your system)? Also, have you tried any other CDs in your system since, if they don't do the same thing, it's not your system. If the buzzing follows the CD then there ya go.

I don't have that CD so I can't say for sure if it's the recording or what. Sounds like it could be a bad press of the disc though...

well, you know, i've tried that. on one of my cd's i didn't experience the problem at all. this was a cd from a local norwegian band (madrugada), and as from what i could hear, unparalelled quality.
my eva cassidy cd, live from blues alley, was on the other hand just as bad as the diana krall cd. 8O

argh, this annoyes the hell out of me. :M

i've checked all my interconnects today. hooked them up at my friends house. no buzz, and he has a retailed priced 2000 $ system. i've got a retailed priced 10000 $ system.

      frustrating...

maybe the moderator could move this into the "general audio" section of some sort, as no one in club rotel are able to assist me in sorting this out?

I have a disk called "Piano Grand" that was a compilation of various piano performances. It has one cut from Dianna Krall that has a very audible 60~ buzz. None of the other cuts on the disk had the problem. I kind of liked it because it reminded me of some high school bands I worked with in the 70's where we had lots of grounding problems. Made it sound real for me.
Any way, I would suggest checking other disks to verify if it is a system problem or part of the recording.
