How strict is Rotel with warranty registration?

I was digging out my owners manual for my 1068 and noticed my registration cards for my pre/pro and power amps stuffed in the back of the drawer. Man, it's been 6 months since my purchase. It had slipped my mind so I registered online tonight. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt me.
Anyone have any experience with this? If something happens with my gear and it needs to be fixed, will I get hasseled about it?

Not to worry, it won't be a problem. This happens all the time, plus you always have the receipt to prove the purchase date, which you have to do anyway... or from the dealer. Rotel has you covered!

Yes I still have my receipt. And registrating at the website was a breeze. Thanks.

Just keep your receipts. "Registration" is merely a universal ploy to get your information for junk mail and telemarketing purposes.

Howie is correct on this. For at least a decade, U.S. law has not allowed manufacturers to require registration as a condition for warranty.

They can't hold that against you by law. Registration is only a courtesy, not a requirement.

I bought a new 1055 from Audiogon a year ago with a blank warranty register card. I did go to my only local dealer first, but they were so mean to me. That's why I bought from audiogon. The unit has been working great until today. Right now, only power comes up and the zone button is reacting. Everything...

                Warranty claims without receipt
                by tboooe
Hi, I bought some rotel gear without the receipt. According to the website, I need to have the receipt to make any warranty claims. Has anyone have experience making claims without the original receipt? Is Rotel very strict on this policy?

                Buzz,

Are the USA dealers permitted to sell to Canada or is this something that Tag regulates? I have purchased a new AV32R-EX but, many dealers from the USA were concerned or not sure if the product could be sold outside the USA. I do understand that the warranty or hardware upgrades...

On the warranty card that came with my RDC-7 it's written that the warranty period for Integra Research receivers is 2 years parts and labor while for CD, DVD players and Plasma monitors it is 1 year parts and labor. No word on what the warranty for processors is. As far as I know Integra Research doesn't...
