    DVD region codes...help

    Hello!

    My regionfree rdv-1080 just got memory erased! I did a factory reset and didn´t thought about the region-codes also would be erased in that procedure.

    Does anyone out there know how to get it back?
    We have region 2 in sweden and the player was delivered with region 1!

      Rotel tech support can give you a proceedure to fix this... Contact them by phone or Email

              hmmm... my previous thread has led me to another question.......I know you cant play Region 1 DVD's in Region 4 or others but I also know that you have regionfree DVD players....or you can tweak your DVD's to be region free.......but the real question coming to my mind is :

              I have the RDV1080 DVD player - which in my oppinion is a nice player, but have (at least) one serious fault.. They forgot to put in two analog outputs for Right and Left channel and ditto for two coax digital outputs.

              Does anybody know if I can just add more phono plugs in the back of...

              Since there is no law against this.

              How do I add regions or open it up wide to 'all' on my region 1 DVD 1060????

              Rotel has 'all' enabled dvd players in other countries. I asked tech support (rotel)and they said that even though there is no law against selling region free...

              Ever since I bought my out-of-the-box region free RDV-985 DVD player it's been regularly loosing its region setting, so I've had to send it over to Rotel. Anybody knows a way to reset it to region 0 ? There's a technical note on Rotel's site to set it to region 1, but nothing else.
