    12V trigger?

I've been wanting to use the 12V trigger on my RSX 1055 to turn my RCD 1070 on. So I went to Radio Shack this past weekend looking for the "3.5 mm Mono to Mono" cable and came away empty handed. I want to make sure I'm looking for the right cable because Radio Shack sizes everything in inches. I figure I need Radio Shack's 1/8" mono to mono cable, is that right? I think I got confused looking at the wall of connectors that "the Shack" offers. Am I on the right track?

That is exactly the right cable. I have them both in mono and stereo as I wasnt sure which one I needed. I am using the mono cable and it works like a charm. Both versions I have are the 6 foot cables and they are black.

    Hope that helps,

    E. J.

I'd stick to the mono plugs. I've had problems in past using stereo adapters in devices but never with mono.

Bizarre Noise When trigger cable is connected to 1068
        by InTheRed
First off, I am a new Rotel owner as of 12/24. I unexpectedly got a 1068 and 1075 for Christmas. Pretty freaking cool.

I spent half of yesterday hooking it up. Unfortunately, about 15-20 seconds after firing the 1068 up it began to make a very bizarre noise. It sounds mechanical, like...

        12v trigger can I use a stereo cable 3.5mm 1/8
        by misterdoggy
I read in a few threads that some people said you can use a 1/8 3.5mm stereo jack instead of a mono, cable as a 12v trigger. Is this true or will I blow up my Krells as I haven't found a mono 3.5 cable yet here in France

        Rotel 12V Trigger Wire Question
        by Sail-A-Wai
I want to have my amp come one when I turn on the pre-amp and need to find the correct 12v trip wire. Went to Radio Shack and they said it was a mono-mini plug.

Did not work - any chance it requires a stereo mini-plug

        Thanks Rik
