    Hooray for B&K!

    I just wanted to post about how fantastic the Ref 20/30 upgrades are! We will essentially get a Ref 50 (with some minor limitations) for 500/1000 bucks respectively. In both cases a fraction of the price of upgrading to the new 50.

    Very cool! I bitched and moaned about when the upgrades were coming, if at all...and now I have been shut up in the best way possible!

    I'm a customer for life!

      Was the Ref 20 also supposed to be upgradable as is the Ref 30?

      If so...now that the 30 has been on the market for quite some time, have they received an upgrade?

      I am very interested in the answer to this question, especially if the 20 was advertised with the same "upgrade"...

      I just ordered a Music Hall MMF 5 that will eventually be incorporated into my totally analog tube stereo system, but since the speakers are not going to be ready for quite some time (DIY Lowther folded horn thingys) I want to be able to listen while I wait.

      I picked up a phono preamp...

      B&K finally has the upgrades for these units to bring them to Ref 50/507 specs. Cost is $498.00 and includes the new faceplate (not currently available but included). Does not include the new remote.

      I was beginning to wonder if they would ever get around to doing it.
