Parasound News!?

Hi Y'all,

Talked to a dealer today in Louisiana who called me back after calling Parasound regarding the new equipment. He was in Atlanta for the no show of Parasound, btw. Anyway they told him Q1 2010 for the C3/Hdp 70 and that there is a JC3 coming. I would really like to hear a c3 with an a51 to get a feel for it. Take care.

Did he say what kind of product the JC3 is?
I am hoping for a high-end cd/sacd player

That could make sense. If the JC1 is an amp, and the JC2 is a pre-amp, then the JC3 might be a source, like a disc player, to complete a JC setup.

Phono Stage

I thought I read somewhere that the JC 3 is a phono stage.

In "The Absolute Sound" Issue 182, John Curl indicates in an interview with Jonathan Valin that he is indeed working on a phonostage for Parasound called the JC3.

The interview was in a sidebar to the review of the JC2 in issue 182 ( June/July 2008 ), page 94. I got it from my hard copy. I can't find either the interview or the review posted on the web. The relevant portion is a two sentence answer to the question "Are you planning a phonostage to go with the JC2?" Curl's answer: "I've got two in the works. One for Parasound called the JC3, and one for Vendetta."

Ok, that means that I`ll have to wait atleast for the JC4, before kicking out my D3 :B 8)

Yeah, Parasound is doing pretty darn well with the JC-series. Would be a very good thing if the series continues...
