Still no review to be had but I think we can put this topic to bed. I've been reading a lot about the new Blu Ray and HD DVD players, but I haven't seen a peep about Parasound's DVD or any other standard dvd players, for that matter. This dearth of media exposure surely spells the end of these types of players on the main stage. Its just too bad that Parasound didn't put these out about 2 years ago. Lets hope they're already tinkering with plans for a Parasound Blu Ray player that will include HDMI 1.3 within the next 2 years.

I have found and have learned from contacts in the HT business that Companies liike Parasound that do not do ANY advertising do not get thier products reviewed. Look at Denon? Everything they ever make is reviewed same with Yamaha. B&K components my favorite or Parasound no advertising,no reviews. Seems to be the way it is. Just as side note HD-DVD rocks!- Bottom

That has some truth to it I am sure but look back at all the reviews world wide on the C1, C2, A23, A51, A52, A21, JC1, P3. Parasound was all over the place when the Halo line was launched. I do not recall a lot of advertising back then either. TAS just reviewed the A21 in the latest issue. I am willing to be that they tried to get the D3 to market in 2005 but could not. However, they made a big investment and finally released the D3 but too late as the market was flooded with 1080P units for much less than $2500. I'll also bet that the next universal player with be to market on time, retain that big dollar to performance ratio Parasound is famous for and which the D3 lacks, and will also cost more than $2500. Maybe the D3 just helped to establish a price point bench mark.? I still want one, really bad, just to match the rest of my Halo gear but not at $2500.Originally posted by J.H.I have found and have learned from contacts in the HT business that Companies liike Parasound that do not do ANY advertising do not get thier products reviewed. by jaynycBackground: I use my Parasound AVC-2500 for HT audio only: HD cable box, Blu Ray, and HD-DVD players. I have other DACs and vinyl for 2-channel music listening, and HDMI switches for video. My system if you are curious:

by DrBoomWell, it's been almost 2 months now that I've lived with both my Rotel RSP1098 and my Parasound C2 and the time for deciding which I'm going to keep is almost at hand.(not that I HAVE to decide now for some reason, but I'd hate to end up with 2 processors permanently)
I actually own both of them,...-
