Duh! That's more than I expected... Why does Parasound have to be so good... :M :T :T :T

Maybe I should just place an order for 2 JC1, A51, C2, and D3 and restore my beautyful setup and be happy! :B

BTW, how about the Theta Compli, can it be made region free too? I've also got my eyes on the Bel Canto PL-1A. How about that one?

I can't believe you got rid of your stuff to begin with, Peter! You would have been a prime candidate for the JC2, also!

I don't think I would have had any real interest in the JC2, since I need a multichannel setup.

Reverting to a pair of JC1, an A51, and the C2 would defintely have been a possibility that my pocketbook would have liked. Unfortuately I was a bit quick selling my C2...

I'm pretty much decided on going with the TacT TCS Mk II room correction system. However, I'm having a hard time making up my mind about what amplification to go with. TacT Boz and PS Audio GCA-MC-500 are the main candidates. Another possible (non-digital) option is a Mark Levinson No. 431+432+433 combo, but I'm not finished researching that alternative yet...

A little bit to early to say I guess, but so far a little warm with a crisp treble and a lot of control on the bass.
                      Exellent channel seperation and detail.
I have only tried it with regular CDs and DVDs using analog XLR out on CDs

I am using RGB on the picture and are able to get 576P,Will get a HDMI cable tomorrow and try 1080I on my Infocus 7210

Picture is very good and natural,I have never had as little noise in the picture as now, and this is right out of the box I have not done any picture calibration so far.

I am using C2,A21,A52,T3,D3,JBL Ti10k,Ti2k,Tik center and 2 Tik Sub's and a pair of mission speakers for 7.1 rear,Kimber and Supra cables.

No bugs so far... still happy to have it here :B

That sounds good, I had th Ti2k myself before I bought the Revel M22. The JBl was a bit to edgy in the heights.

                            A pic would be great ;x( .

                                      Hey, Loffen, 3 things...

                                      - Go ahead and add your pictures to our "Parasound Picture" thread! Good stuff...

                                      - That last picture... is that the screen display when a DVD hasn't started playing yet? Cool.. that would look so freakin' sweet on my big theater screen. Much better than the Denon screen that I currently show, and that one's not bad either.

                                      - Is the front panel of the D3 identical in style to the other Halo gear? Maybe it's just your pictures, but to me the D3 front panel looks flat, where all other Halo gear has a gentle curve to it.

                                            odd or not?

Just received the latest issue of the AA catalog in the mail today. Lots to say about the Parasound D 200 disc player but not a hint about the D3. They stock the D3 and have since it was introduced. What is up with the D3???? Why isn't anyone giving this thing any attention???

Good question. What did it say about the D200, though?

Just the normal stuff. Wow look at this... great new player from Parasound etc.. Just marketing/sales highlights.

quote from AA - "Whoa, nelly! When Parasound designs a multi-disc player, the company doesn't clown around. If you've been looking for a no-compromise DVD player that also delivers ultimate performance..."

Not a review at all. Just the features and pictures.

I would like to own a player like the D3 that matches the other Halo gear but $2500.00 seems like a lot for the features and specs.

Oh well. Maybe they have something much better on the way and do not wish for all of us to spend money on the D3?

                                                  Black faceplates

I just received the latest AudioAdvisor catalog and they have the Halo D3 listed in both silver and black! I know some customers have been asking for black faceplates, but there isn't anything on the Halo website to confirm this. Does anyone (bhuskins?) know if this is true or maybe just a misprint? Is Halo planning on black faceplate options for their entire Halo line? I personally love the look of silver, but it would be interesting to see what the components look like in black. The catalog only shows the silver D3 picture.

I'm seeing some discrepancies with the Halo Control software--I've talked it over with Parasound's tech support, and they're looking into it to see if there's problems or omissions. In the meantime, I think it would be useful for everyone to post if they've noticed similar things so we can nail down...

News from CES. Kinda cool, for when you need more than an A 21, but less than an A 51. Looks like it's not just matched to the A x1 amp series in power, but more like the A 21 than the A 51 in construction.

Now where's those CD 1 players?
