Hey everyone,
I am hoping to get some help from the board. Has anyone tried to replace the FST Midrage Isolator on their N802's? The isolators on both speakers are starting to come apart and I am going to try and replace them myself. I got the parts from B&W, it appears to be a straightforward "plug and play" scenario. My concern is removing the midrange driver. Do I just loosen the back screw to where I can pop out the driver and when putting it back on, just tighten it until it has resistance?
Unfortunately, the dealer in the area does not offer repairs and I don't have the shipping containers to send them off. So, I am going to have to do it myself. Is it even worth attempting to do the repair? I have a link to the part and a picture of what the current one looks like.
