Need a large A/V stand, recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a good A/V stand that can hold at least 2 amplifiers (McIntosh), processor, and blu-ray player? There was a advertisement on one of these boards I saw last year that had really nice stands but can't seem to find it anymore.

    Thanks

Check out Salamander racks...sturdy, designed well, and customizable. Only con I have is the door hinges on my Berlin open into the bay quite a bit. Have to push my Mac amp back and off center (Mac amps can be monsters) away from hinge.

I did look at them all of there inner dimensions were smaller than 20" for the cabinet areas which means my MC402 won't fit. How long is your MC302?

There was company advertising I thought on here or the avsforum that made an "ultimate entertainment stands" but can't seem to find them anymore.. They had lots of storage space, great build quality, yada, yada, etc.. That's who I'm really trying to find.

You may be thinking of Standout Designs. http://www.standoutdesigns.com/ - I've seen them on AVS a bunch of times. Nice looking cabinets.

My mc302 is 17" deep however call it about 20-23", allotting for your power/audio cables. It's depth is 20 1/4". I just leave the rear panel off. I have a quad unit so I use the extra shelves (2) for storage. Door hinges aside, I like it's aluminum chassis, very strong (for bowing concerns). In that price range, not that many enclosed racks were sturdy enough IMO.

Can you post a picture? So with the rear cover off it doesn't sway side to side?

I think your right that might have been the company I was thinking of.. Thanks!

I've only ever looked and wished.

This thread on AVS has a bunch of real life pictures and feedback.

this topic does not belong in B & W, please post to the correct forum! :-) Or I will move them in the future.

Whats both good and bad, he probably got more responses here, than he would have in any other forum on our site. It's good you guys are participating, it's bad that it all has to happen in BW.

Please participate in the general areas some guys. It would make me very happy to see that and not just staying in the clubs. Thank you.

With house starting to get ready (and workshop being next in line) I do have the Minerva project with NAD C390DD back up and playing music. Both of these were idle for several years as my main system at other home is with Ardents and Purifi amp.

Been viewing these forums for a few months now, specifically the DIY section, and decided to finally sign up and would like some recommendations for my audio set up.

I'll give you an overview of what I've got right now.

                    Audio Stand for Classé Gear
                    by HedgeHog
                    Hi folks,

I'm curious what people are using for their Classé gear. I'm about to acquire that ubiquitous setup of 802D/HTM2D/SSP-800/CA-5200. Additionally, I have the Pio PRO-151FD and JL Audio F113. So I can get a wide av stand and put all the gear in there, the center on top, and...

As I'm wrapping up the bedside tables in the garage I have shifted my design focus to a multifunction bedroom TV stand. I've done some research on this at various websites (including this one) and have decided to go for it, despite several known design flaws. However, advice and input is always welcome,...

                    Hey guys,

I've been reading post on the site for sometime but this is my first post. Here goes.

Basically I’m looking for a two-channel amp and a 2-channel receiver that would primarily be connected to my Power Mac G5 via an optical connection or the express purpose...
