    Asw675 Cut Frequency

    hello everybody

I am trying to make a 2.1 system but I believe that the output frecuency cut is too high

does any of you know the cut frequency of the ASW675 output?

is ther any way to change the cut frequency?

    greetings

Are you asking about the the low pass filter - the top end of the subwoofer's range? If so, that is changed on the dial on the back of the sub. You have to have the low pass filter switch set to "IN" before the low pass frequency dial will work. You then choose the low pass frequency based on the capabilities of the other speakers.

If you are asking about the high pass filter from the line out, you cannot change that. It is set at a fixed point internally (I don't know what the frequency is, you would have to check with B&W for that info) and there is no adjustment for it. I wouldn't use it anyway. I'd just run your speakers full range.

Breaking with modern conventions - a highly musical 2-way system using an 8" woofer
      by theSven
      By Jon Hancock

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...

+/-15V DC power supply for active rumble filter project?
      by HMenke
Does anyone know of a cost-effective, commercially available +/-15V DC power supply with low ripple and adequate voltage regulation? I'm looking at building this active high-pass rumble filter for a ported sub:

B&W MATRIX 802 SERIES III BAF (alignment filter help)
      by Jorgitox
      Hi!

A friend of mine have bought a second-hand B&W HIGH-PASS ALIGNMENT FILTER for his B&W MATRIX 802 SERIES III, but he didn't received the manual within the packet. I saw a thread on Audiogon where someone posted this info:

Minimum Phase and Accurate Crossover Simulation
      by Reet
Minimum phase for a speaker can be described of the phase of the frequency response of the speaker at it’s acoustic centre, or the phase without any excess phase or “time of flight” included. It can be calculated from the speaker’s frequency response using Hilbert-bode transform, or HBT. When comparing multiple minimum phase responses, we can say that the responses occur at the same point in space, ie. there is no physical distance between them. When measuring speakers and processing the...

Exploring Common DIY Terminology - Bandpass (Crossover Filter)

      Bandpass (Crossover Filter)

A bandpass filter refers to an electronic circuit or signal processing technique used to limit the frequency range of an audio signal that is sent to a specific driver or set of drivers within a loudspeaker system. It is employed to ensure that each driver operates within its intended frequency range and to achieve a desired frequency response for the overall system. For the DIYer, a bandpass crossover filter would typically be seen in a 3-way loudspeaker...
