I am wondering how far apart you have your 705's from each other? Also how far from the wall do you have them placed?

Mine are at the rear these days but they started life in an equilateral triangle with the listening position about 50cm to 60cm from the rear wall.
What have you tried and what do you prefer?

I have mine only 10 inches from the wall and about 7 feet apart. I am going to mess with the speaker distance to see if I can't improve the soundstage a bit.Comment

While I was vacuuming just a moment ago my 705 fall from its 60cm Atacama Nexus stand! :cry: :cry: :cry: . I think I MIGHT be lucky that he fell flat on its BACK. the corners of the backside of the 705 are a little bit damaged now.

I'm a newbie to hi-fi. I can't seem to get any bass from my 705s. The bass is rather soft. I'm not expect deep sounding bass from the 705s, but rather tight and firm bass. I'm using the system purely to listen to music, not HT.

The 705 did not get much love on this forum. The story was one about the treble, and it wasn't liked much for that reason. I struggled with them and ended up with 804s, then finally Vivid B1s, all of which I still own.
