B&W 705 speaker stand screw size

    HI there!

Does anyone know the correct size of the screw size of the 705 (the bottom ones) so I can secure it in my stand?

I cant find the information anywhere!

    Thank you!

I haven't had 705 but the thread size is likely M6 (a metric thread, 6 milimiters in diameter). Close to a 1/4" thread, but won't work.

      Kate-br,

When I had my 705's a couple of years ago, they came with screwable little rubber feet. I then bought 600 series stands (cheaper than the matching 705 stands. Not sure these are still available). I used the little rubber feet and screwed the 705's to the 600 series stands. Worked like a charm.

I am pretty sure that M6 is the standard screw type in most B&W speakers.

      Hope this helps.

So would M6 screws work in my HTM-1 (N) and my FS HTM stand?
        Are they a standard length?

Does anyone know if the PSB Stratus Mini takes the same size screw? Thanks.

I have always had tower speakers but just decided to jump on a pair of NHT Classic Three bookshelf speakers. Now I need some sort of speaker stand -a topic I know nothing about.

A few questions if you don't mind...

The NHT Classic Three is 13.75" tall. What size...

            705 bass problem
            by ref3706
            Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to hi-fi. I can't seem to get any bass from my 705s. The bass is rather soft. I'm not expect deep sounding bass from the 705s, but rather tight and firm bass. I'm using the system purely to listen to music, not HT.

Some years ago I chose the B&W703 over the 704, leaving no budget for the rears. For the time being I have used my old Jamo sw300. In my new house I can’t put speakers on the wall, so the time has come for bookshelf speakers on a stand.

            I’ve got a budget of aprox 800 - 1000 euros...

What do you gents suggest for a "bookshelf" speaker stand(s). I would like a cherry finish if possible, but will forgo the finish if a particular stand is just plain better.

B&W Sound Anchor stands, thoughts and photos
            by ironcorn
            Hi,
After a long internet search, I decided to purchase a set of Sound Anchor stands for my rear B&W 803S speakers. I’m posting these photos because during my search for plinths, I found very few good photos of the actual product I was trying to research, to include even on the SA website....
