    HTM1 tweeter damaged?

I ve just bought a new HTM1 center speaker. When I came home I saw that the tweeter was 'hanging loose'. The tweeter has some sort of cover and that 'hang' loose (NOT the dust cover but the actual tweeter itself!). I saw 2 wires that where intact and just pushed/clicked the tweeter back. Could my tweeter be damaged now?

It certainly could be, but look carefully at the dome and see if there are any dents, depressions on it. Plug it back in very carefully and without touching the dome of the tweeter, re attach the two wires. A long nose pliars would be handy. Replace it and cover it and listen. If it is damaged you will here it(or rather you will not hear the highs). The vocals will not be clear.
    Cheers.

Before you do anything contact your dealer. You may have a warrantee issue if there is no trauma involved and trying to "fix" it yourself could void this.

        Damping SEAS Tweeter Chamber Cover
        by Armand
Hi all. I know this has been discussed previously, but has anyone actually performed the measurments to test whether or not damping the plastic rear chamber cover helps or hinders the performance of the tweeter? The rear cover has a nasty resonance when tapped.

        I've read of many DYI'ers...

How to replace a dented B&W CM-4 speaker tweeter diaphragm
        by bnieman
I just replaced my CM-4 tweeter diaphragm and thought others may benefit from my experience.

Here are my modified directions from Eric at B&W on how to disassemble the tweeter:

        1. Remove grille, remove the 6 silver posts that the grill attaches too. Simply unscrew these...

I just got home from picking up my Wharfedale Evolution 10 speakers (in glossy piano black), which will be used as rear speakers in my Home theater; matched up with the Wharfedale Opus 2. Which by the way still haven't arrived and probably won't for another month or so.

HTM1 tilted downwards In my Cabinet!! Good or Bad?
        by chinets
        Hi Everyone,
I have a large cabinet with all my equipment in it and the T.V. is in the middle of it all. The HTM1 is above the T.V. which is about two meters of the floor but, around less than half a meter above the T.V.
I therefore tilted the HTM1 downwards with a One Inch piece...
