My wife and I had a party last weekend and everyone was outside listening to an Ipod in a docking station, all distorted. I convinced them to come inside.
Well, before you knew it, we had the 70's disco albums out, the system cranked and everyone dancing. The next day I was talking to my wife and said that I had never pushed my system like that. Her response was that it was not that loud. I don't think that anyone in the room realized that it was as loud as a nightclub, but that the difference was that it wasn't harsh and distorted and you could hear every word and note of the music (everyone was singing along). Or that when the needle hit the vinyl, there were no pops and clicks. Just thought that I would share.
By the way, there is no need to bi-amp 800's. A single pair of CAM 350's and a single JL Audio F113 is plenty for a large room. :T
