Not sure how many of you have experience with the 683, but I was wondering why B&W advise attaching the plinth and spikes yet in the photo below (and every promotional photo I have seen) they decided to not show the plinth.
Obviously, I understand this is more than likely posed for a good product photo, but I was wondering why they decided not to show the plinth anywhere?
Personally, I think it's quite ugly - and in my room I don't have the space for it. The footprint is considerably larger than the cabinet, which looks odd.
Currently I just have spikes directly fitted to the bottom.
I'm guessing removing them and having it sit directly on the floor wouldn't be wise due to vibration resonance throughout the cabinet, correct?
How does this apply to the floor standing models in the 700 and 800 series (apart from 802/801/800!)
Thanks :B
