AWG thickness of 800 series internal wiring

Does anyone know the awg thickness of the internal wiring for the 800 series? I noticed the bi-wire connector that comes with the speakers is about 12-14awg. Is it copper? Or do they use silver?

The internal cables are identical to the jumper cable! 12awg.

Just looked at the jumper cable, looks like its silver? Or is it copper coated in silver?

i am a huge b&w fan and they do produce great sound but when you open them up, although it is hard to admit, the crossovers and connections do not impress, i have opened up other speakers in their market segment (kef, sonus, wilson) and the b&w inner components and wiring seem to be on the wimpy side of the group

Looking at the jumper for the 803d it definately looks like its a gold spade with silver wire.

                Internal wiring of 800 series
                by nick.h
                Hi,

Has anyone had the internal wiring upgraded in their 800 series speakers? I know the 800D uses highend wiring, but the 803D/S and below doesn't.

Was thinking of getting all the internals done. Lex from cat cables could probally supply the wiring.

What is the brand of internal wiring in the B&W 800 Series?
                by SoundEngine355
Does anyone know the brand of internal wiring in the 800 Series? I know they use the same cables from the 805s to the 800D. They look about 14AWG and might be a copper silver coated cable.

                Any ideas?

Heres an example from the B&W 803D:

My new statements ready to be wired :T I wanted to ask, Is it important to keep internal crossover wires the same length ?
                what tolerance is safe ?

                Thanks,

                Wiring Avalanche 15"?
                by rthornhill
I recently purchase two 15” Ascendant Audio Avalanche subs based on many of the recommendations of this forum. I really got a lot out of this forum, there is a lot of great information. I especially liked the “DIY newbie” thread started by ajpoe.

Well, it has taken me waaay too...
