I've had two times problems with my ASW-855, each time it was an electronic problem in the amp :M

      HI,
No problems with any of the 8 different subs I've had over the years. Except for my current pair of B & W ASW800's on my bedroom 5.1 system and my Monsoon computer system speakers, they were all powered by external amps.

No probs at all. Take note that I've only had the present Velodyne DD-15 for a few months now. My previous sub (Paradigm PS1000) I used for 5 years.

Occasionally during action movies it makes a kind of deep rumbling sound. Apart from that it just sits there looking pretty......................oh hang on, just been told that is what they are supposed to do. In that case, no, no problems to report.

Just went and checked it again just to be sure.

Its still sitting quietly, but the stereo is off at present so it is performing to manfacturers specifications.

Happy Easter everyone ! If you don't celebrate Easter just enjoy the chocolate :-)

I had the predessor to the ASW 855 and had to send it back two times. One time the amplifier just stopped working and the other time it buzzed at high volumes. However, they did fix it and it works fine now.

Has been just over a year now with the dual DD 15's set up, and not a problem at all with anything. Still rumbling away and loving it. :T

Lost the amp on my BagEnd Infra-18 once - got it upgraded to the latest version while it was in for repair. Other subs (SVS and DIY RL-p15) have never had issues.

It happened during the onset of a storm, not sure if it was a coincidence or if it got hit with a surge.
