    B&W N802 and Sound Anchors

Hey I was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with sound achors. My dad just got a pair of N802's and we were wondering if they make any noticable improvment.
    Thanks all

I use granite to place speakers on, makes a difference. The sound anchors should work great.

Fife, when you placed the 802 on the SA stands did you use the B&W spikes or casters on the actual speakers

I had SA for my 804's. They were awesome, and I plan on getting them for my N802's at some point. I don't know how they are for the 802's, but for the 804's, you put screws that came with the stand where the factory spikes went, and that is how you slid the speaker onto the stands.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

What do they look like? They are stands that stop the speaker from moving right?

A good friend has a marble and granite shop with CNC equipment. I'm wondering if it is worth the effort to fabricate something.

I just received a pair for Christmas for my 803's and I have to say that it has been the biggest improvement for the price in my system thus far.

Agreed. Though I do not have experience with SA (I use Star Sound Technologies Sistrum stands), I strongly beleive that well designed speaker stands make a considerable difference. For me, I found the bass to be tighter and the overall sound more clean and accurate. In retrospect, I would have gotten stands before upgrading my amps, preamp, and cdp.

I use spikes for all my Sound Anchors and coasters are not as effective as spikes.

The benefit of having coasters is using them for finding the best positioning of your speakers. Once you have done so with your coasters, I would remove the coasters and replace with spikes.

? for N802 owners -upgraditis setting in
                      by jclyle
                      Hey-
With the colder weather setting in & more time being spent indoors, I feel a nasty case of upgraditis coming soon... A question for the N802 owners out there.. what size room do you have them in? I have a 12x15 living room that is for stereo stuff only. one side has a doorway that opens...

                      Granite Stands for B&W 804s
                      by RacerChris
In preparation for arrival of my new 804s, I am thinking about getting stands. I live in California and it's not a matter of IF the "BIG ONE" hits, it's a matter of WHEN time. :E And you don't have to be a structural engineer (which I just happen to be) to figure out that it wouldn't take...

                      N802's a tad light.
                      by georgev
                      Hi folks,
                      I need some thoughts.
My 802's seem a wee light in the lower fequencies at low volumes. Once I crank up the vol a bit more, they blossom.
I am running them with a Levinson 332.
                      Q.
Is it a lack of adequate amplification? Will I get the improved lower end at...

Exchange Granite Baffles for test results
                      by richnen
As many of you know I am currently building some Statement Monitors using granite. I think I can get the price of granite baffles down to a reasonable price but need to know that they work well acoustically. I think the speakers I have made sound great but need some hard test results.

madisound RBR kit in a granite enclosure?

my plan was to put these brilliant babies in birch enclosure- and i've already found the material for extremely cheap here in china- 5'x8' .75" sheet of birch ply for 135 yuan- roughly $19. and was to commission the build tomorrow at a furniture factory. however after hooking up the drivers bare,...
