I am comparing these 3 bookshelf speakers for my home theatre (front speakers). There is a significant price difference between them, and I wondering if anyone has tested these back to back in the same room, or otherwise has compared them. Unfortunately, floor standing speakers are not an option for me in this particular room. (There was a recent similar thread about the 805s, but not so much information on the Dynaudios or Wilsons.)

well, this is a B&W thread, so we´ll all tell you to go for the 805s! but apart from from that, the 805s is one of the best bookshelf speaker you can buy just in that price range! check all the reviews on the net! Some evern say that the 805s is the best stand mount speaker in the world! abit over the top maybe! Other wise the number one rule I have when it comes to speakers is, you can´t hear what people hear inside there heads, therefore no one can tell what speakers to buy! It´s your own ears that decide! Other people like me can guide you! An example, A freind of mine wanted a pair of speakers that could play loud and have a big booming bass! I wouldn´t tell my friend to buy a pair B&W! He listens mostly to heavy rock! And they have to be kinda cheap! So, Cervin-vega was is answer!, until he said he wanted to spend a little more, and he wanted to go up-market, so I should him Dali 8008 and B&W604s3! He bought the B&W 604s3!- Bottom

It's an interesting experiment. seems odd that you would want to compare those speakers. My guess is that you will notice the B&W to be good, the Dyaudio to be better and the Wilson to be best.
The real question becomes, with how good the wilson duette is, is it worth the extra $9000 over the cost of the 805?
Most have said that Duette sounds VERY similar to the Sophia II. If that is the case, and you can afford it, I don't know why you would look elsewhere.- Bottom

Most recently, I've heard the 800 Diamonds (paired...-

by KarmaHI All,
I’m in the midst of an experiment. The HT system I am currently putting together is for my bedroom. It’s now mostly finished and I must say it sounds very good. Here is the essence of the experiment.
Can I use a good bookshelf speaker (the 805S) and a good subwoofer...-
