    Help with a small problem

Hello guys i have a small problem i am puting together a nice sys
together and have a space problem. the wall that my tv is on
with my 804s is to small i can't put my audio gear on that wall
the tv is a 65" and there is no room i might be able to put the
behind the speakers but that won't be to great. i can put the
rack across to a wall that's about 12' away but then i have the
front door entrance to deal with i have high cathedral ceilings
so im wondering how it would be for that long of a run would
it be bad to have that much cable in the walls.

    Thanks for your help.

In a way every home theater has similar issues, put your system to the front and it is a bit of a hike to the rears. If you use a good quality cable I would think that you should be fine. If you have a look at the system photos on this site you will see that few are ideal as they have to share the space with lounge furniture, pianos, fire places and domestic life in general.

If you plan to run under carpet alot of cable manufacturers like QED & Monster Cable make flat cable which will work well.

You can run any decent cable in the wall/ ceiling as long as you have adequate access. The thicker the cable the harder it will generally be to run.

I think others may like to answer this one as I still have basic chunky gauged cables. Every dollar spent on cables puts me further way from better electronics, such as maybe a nice high end CD player that will have more impact on the sound.

Some folks like to upgrade their cables like they upgrade components in their system - in that case proper conduits in the walls help. Then again some like those ribbon cables, perfect for under the carpet but they would be a very tricky in wall solution. I'm sure you have already considered these things anyway.

              Small on-wall surrounds
              by JoshK
I know the topic of smaller monitors was discussed before, but usually for a different purpose. Also no solutions that I know were proposed. Chris's RS150 mt I think was actually relatively large.

I am looking to do a medium profile on wall surround since I am actually considering...

Design Help (Dedicated Theater Room Construction)
              by Dustin B
It's taken over 6 months, but after a few more sheets of drywall go up in my new detached garage behind the house, the next item on the list of renos for the house I bought last June is the dedicated theater room. It presents a bit of a challenge in what I want to accomplish.

              Here is...

              by vinceb
Or at least compared to my last attempt it's improved. I was about to order a working one and read some comments and some of the issues were things I had trouble with already, so why pay $$ and still have issues? Maybe this will be helpful to someone, so far I think it will take care of my circle...

I thought this might be of interest to some of you. Hopefully, at least Zaph (Krutke) and Jon Marsh may find reason to comment on my results or to add suggestions for others building these projects.
