    B & W PA speakers

    Hi,

I'm trying to find out the model names of the B & W PA speakers. I'm not sure if they have loads of different types, so I'm just chancing my luck really.

    The dimensions are approx. H=3feet W=2feet D=2feet

Sorry for the vagueness, any help appreciated.

Thanks for the responses, what a helpful forum.
I obviously didn't prove a level of technical competence suitable for you to deal with, please forgive me for taking up your bandwidth. Thankfully I found the name I was looking for, it was Nautilus.

I guess I should have known the name/serial number of my sons speakers.

      HI lauda,
Take it easy. We have every level of technical abilities on this forum. All of us know things that others don't so all can contribute to the greater knowledge.

Your question made no sense. Also, it indicated that you had done absolutely no research on B&W. All you had to do is google B&W's site, a very easy thing to do, to find that B&W does not make PA speakers. That term when referring to B&W is nonsense and we all know it. It left me with the question:" do you want PA (Public Address) speakers or hi fi speakers?". These are two very different beasts. Or even more to the point, Do you know the difference?

Do not blame us for your lack of the simplist kind of research.

That said, welcome to the forum. We do not want to discourage you from participating.

No my apologies, I was a bit short fused after finding out how much money has been spent on these.

Have since spoken with someone at B & W, the speakers are not Nautilus, but Matrix 801 series 2. I was trying to find out for the purpose of insurance. I was told the name Matrix originally, but could not remember it, and when searching for the name could not find anything that reminded me of it.

Apparently Nautilus are based on the matrix, but I don't know enough about them yet. All I can say is that the sound is awesome, and I'm predicting a call requesting funds for some new amps and pre-amps soon.

These are definitely PA speakers though, they came out of a theatre here. I think this caused my problem with searching, as you say most B & W speakers are for hifi. I have researched B & W before, in fact I'm from Worthing, which houses a quite large B & W base.

          In-Wall Speakers

So in my other theater projects I've always done towers (NatP and Modula MTM). Working on the basement and thinking about the design of a new HT set-up and with kids and such I think in-wall front speakers instead of floor standing speakers will be best. I saw a thread about NatP in-wall and that...

Hi, all. This thread will document the process of building a pair of Rick Craig-designed tower speakers. These might be some of the last speakers he ever designed. I worked with Rick last spring and summer (2021). I'm sure many of you know of Rick. He was truly one of the great guys in the world of...

Has anyone seen any ads for either Integra Home Theater or Integra Research anywhere in the past six months? Integra Home Theater has recently introduced their hot new separates that could be "competition killers" in their category, but all I've seen in the latest magazines is one "institutional"...

Hi all, here's one for the Aussies out there. If you've been following the 'Couldn't be happier' thread, then you would know that I've been looking/listening around for a pair of speakers to complete (for now -cables come later) my Rotel-based stereo system.

I summed up my options, and...
