Am I being ripped off with my new B&W System?

Im looking at the following configuration,

803S - Floorstanding $2750US
805S - Bookshelf $1250US
HTM3S - Centre $2500US
ASW855 - Subwoofer $3300US

OR

802D - Floorstanding $6000US
805S - Bookshelf $1250US
HTM 2D - Centre $4000US
ASW855 - Subwoofer $3300US

Are these prices over the top?

I assume the prices you are showing is for each speaker? If that is the case then you are being charged exact list price for the 802D and 805S. I am not sure about the 803S and others you listed. You can typically get 10% off and more if you have a really good dealer...

check out the b&w website for MSRP prices each...that will at least give you a baseline...

I believe that B&W's website does not list prices anymore (at least for Canada).

Yes, those prices you quoted in your first post are for each speaker. Like others said, a 10% discount is common but you can do better.

If the prices are for a pair then please advise of the dealer and I will upgrade to the 803s. I agree that the prices listed are for each speaker. The website gives the exact/same values.

Most dealers will offer some sort of system discount. There was a thread a few months prior on this issue. It seems that they ranged form 10-30%. Although I have never been able to buy at the upper amount. The average was about 12%.
