Room Curves, System voicing, and related thoughts
    by CharlieLaub
    Hi Jon,

I thought that the Linkwitz/Barringer study was done for the Orion or similar dipole speaker. The power response is bound to be very different for that kind of source, versus your speaker. A monopole would likely have a sagging power response in the upper octaves without any reduction...

Impedance too low for my reciever?
    by LilBassGuy
    Hello,

I need a nice pair of main left and right speakers for a small mini-home theater I am building. I would rather build a set than buy new.

I have decided to build one of the many MTM projects I have found on the internet, but I am not sure which ones have a high enough...

My CD player has an output impedance of 120 Ohms, my power amp an input impedance of 27 kOhms. It also has input sensitivity of 1 Volt. Will a passiv preamp...

    Modular Audio Source Monoblock Amplifiers
    by Chris D
I've been on the search for quite some time for a good amplifier to use for powering tactile transducers. (also called bass shakers) I needed raw power, preferably 250W per channel or more, but didn't need exceptional audio fidelity due to me driving tactile transducers, not efficient audible speakers....
