There was a discussion over at another forum I frequent about how 2nd order crossovers (or greater) tend to shift the phase of the original music and how this phase shift is supposed to be audible.

I popped in a few cd and took turns listening to them first from headphones (grado sr-60's) and then from my 603's, I could not hear any real difference aside from the difference in bass output.
Has anybody here explored this further? Is it something that only people with bat ears can notice?
