    Finally getting the lcr600s3

I had recently upgraded my mains to 603s3's.I am receiving the lcr600s3 center this week.My question is about proper setup.Should the center be set to small or large and what crossover should i set it to.Right now i have the 603s3 set to small 80 crossover the center(mismatched center) and surrounds to small for HT/TV also at 80.The 603's are set to large and no sub at 80 for stereo.I have read that some prefer the 603's be set at 60 instead of 80.The center (lcr600)should be set to large instead of small. As far as the sub i'm assuming that the crossover on the sub should be set to highest point therefore disabling it since using crossover in receiver. Please correct whereever i am wrong i'm not an audiofile and just trying to get the best out of my system that i'm upgraing little by little.thanks

What's the use of setting a crossover when you're using 'no sub'?
In stereo, I'd set the 603's to large with sub at 60 (or 80), since, essentially, 'bypass' is allready 'large and no sub'. Switch back and forth between these modes in order to find the one you prefer.

Unless you own the world's greatest center channel (and I don't know what that would be), set the LCR600 as small.

600 should be set to small.

Rule of thumb I've always used, is for HT use, all speakers set to small. Stereo listening can go either way...I often forget to switch my speakers from small to large...and when I do go back and forth it's a tough call as to what I like better.

963sa owners: please help with sub set up
          by vasia
          Hi,
I've decided to give Philips 963sa a try given its great price at B&H Photo (239-). I've just got it in and I basically cannot seem to be able to set up the sub properly for SACD playback. Every time I set my main speakers to large, it automatically switches sub off in Advanced Bass Managment...

I just received my 1068 today and have been toying with it all night long. I'm having trouble setting the sub to "yes". Let me try to clarify my question. If I set my fronts to Large and sub to "yes", the sub does not produce any sound, but when set to "max" the sub...

I'm new here as well as to decent audio in general and am looking for some help. I've read the various manuals (a number of times now), tried different settings and have searched but still can't get my sub working reliably when playing PCM 2-channel music through my RSP-1570.

          by greenhorn
Looking for some knowledgable help with appropriate basic Bass \ Sub-Woofer Setting. Tied up here with far to many possible setting for me to get a handle on. Couple of the pieces of my equipment are Bass \ Subwoofer adjustable so I'm looking for what is general correct baseline setup.
