    Another treasure from Down Under...

How hot is she? Top 500 actress the week of April 26 on IMDB. Being on Dexter I am sure helped her cause. Apparently she was on a TV series "Chuck" from like 07 to 12. I am not familiar with it. That's a pretty high ranking for her, her hottiness, seems to be helping...

Great looking lady. I wonder if she's a good actress... I happened across her looking at other stuff. I noticed her pair of gauges looked pretty nice...

I've seen her on Chuck... surprised I haven't seen more of her since Chuck went off the air. I haven't seen the last season of Dexter yet- is that the one she's on?

Work as done a number on my daily routine, and I have seasons of TV stuff on iTunes downloaded because they're my favorites and I haven't watched an episode of anything in months... not since Christmas break.

It may be the season of Dexter she was on Jon. I'm not certain... I think so though.

      She's a hottie! :-)

Yeah I was going to say she was in 2 seasons I believe. I wasn't particularly happy with how the series ended though.

IMDB says, she was in 17 episodes from 12-13 It does not say if that's a season crossing 1 year or 2 seasons from 2 different years. I don't know how many episodes a season ran. I was never a Dexter fan, so I'll let those 17 episodes go without a view. But knowing Showtime's other series, I would say that was 2 seasons of Dexter.

I admit, I am curious, I'd like to see an episode or two of chuck and see if I'd like to own the series. I hate to buy it sight unseen though...

You can buy an episode or two on itunes. I do that sometimes and if I like it, I buy the series (itunes or on BD, whichever is cheaper). If not, I'm out the price of a movie rental.

I want to say Chuck might be on Netflix and/or Hulu now. I enjoyed it, even if it was a bit goofy at times.

Morality likely, some people can't handle shows like that which is understandable.

the morality angle is a very interesting point- I've not seen the last two seasons yet, only the prior ones on BD or iTunes, but in general he was only taking down people who really deserved it...

OTOH, my GF doesn't like any kind of violence in movies or books, though she's a real fan of British mysteries. It's a shame life can't be that neat and tidy...

Sadly......anyone who has issues with the 'morality' of Dexter or many other TV series and of course, the MAJORITY of movies out there today is going to be seriously wanting of entertainment material nowadays. Dexter is a very interesting character in that for whatever reason, we end up kinda' liking him and his personality. It's a bit of a paradox in that in most cases, serial killers are frowned upon. It is because of this that the series is most interesting. We of course all must all realize that this is fantasy and only entertainment at the end of the day.

I never said it was morality, that was Dougie said it might be that. Honestly? I just don't really like blood and guts type stuff. When he starts sawing a body up, call it whatever you want, that's when I tune out. I did watch an episode or two a LONG time ago, I made the decision it just wasn't for me. I can't even remember what the episode was about. So I never tuned in again. I like some things other's won't like, and vice versa. That's just how things go. You know? I guess I am a little squeamish that way about some stuff. What can I say? There's just some stuff, I'd rather not see, even if it isn't real. Not a fan of the horror genre for the same reason. I am not that way about all violence in movies. Just the really graphic meat clever type stuff. Texas chain saw massacre, not for me.

The fact that Dexter was on TV is kinda' shocking for me!. It's quite violent and gory. I watched the complete series on DVD and I wonder how much was 'edited' for television??!!

It's not really all that gory, they don't show in actually cutting anything up. About as bad as it gets is gun shots and stabbings which are on plenty of crime dramas like CSI and such already.

Dan, no shock there, HBO and Showtime, pretty much anything goes. They do not go by standard television standards for major networks. For some reason, they are treated differently. Major network has loosened up quite a bit now on graphic stuff. Just not so much on nudity.

Thanks Dougie, maybe I just saw a particularly bad episode, lol. Dunno...

HBO and Showtime are given much more room for things like this because A) they are very good with ratings and clearly state what the rating is and who should and shouldn't be watching programming, B) they air the more risky shows late at night with more family oriented stuff much of the time earlier in the day, and C) it's paid TV and not public broadcast. You have to specifically subscribe to HBO and Showtime. Honestly because of this they get some of the best shows out there by a long shot, their writers are better than most of the stuff I see on public stations and on top of that they get much better production quality, actors, and directing in general. The only other source I've seen come close is Netflix who are also right up there with HBO and Showtime in the quality of product they put out for their original content.

With that said there is a watered down version of Dexter that goes on public broadcast, I think the biggest thing they change is just language though.
