Upgrade from MF A300 Integrated's Phono Stage

Hi.

I'm hoping you might suggest a phono preamp for me as a step up from the one standard in my Musical Fidelity A300 Integrated. If you know, how does the one that's in the amp compare to MF or other phono pres?

My other gear:

Rega 3 w/ Dynavector 10x5
Kimber 4VS Bi-wire
Genesis Technologies Genre I Speakers

I have heard this very same unit recently paired with a V nice Sota TT. Its sound was luscious, warm, clear & incredibly involving to my ear.

IMHO, you don't need to waste $ on a different phono-pre. The one in the MF 300A is V capable and suited to the overall MF house sound (ie. warm with good detail & resolution).

If your looking to change the character of the sound of your system, tell us what you hear, what you like & don't like. Maybe we can offer some suggestions from there.

If the compulsion from the audiophile OCD to buy more stuff in hopes it will improve your system is irristable, might I humbly suggest you investigate a vacuum record cleaning machine? It is one of the few products I feel will always provide a performance increase to any system incorporating a turn table.
