Her version of 'Stormy Weather' has always been one of my top ten ten favorite female ballads. -

The best version I have ever heard, and there are probably near 20, is on a Mobile Fidelity release that belongs to my mentor and dear friend who many years ago first opened my eyes to 'High Fidelity'. The album is 'The Lady and Her Music'.Comment

What is this year's ten best? Think hard and nominate anything. Cast Away and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon seem to have spots on this list reserved for them; but we'll have to wait and see. So what's on your list? Mine will follow as soon as I've had some time to think about it.

A little background here.
I've owned this RSP-1068 for almost 2 years now. About 6 months ago, my center channel more or less stopped working.
I checked my amp, checked my cabling, checked my settings, everything as fine. If i went into the test tones, and cranked the volume... -
I went and ran my cable (TV) through my Monster HTS 2600, and the hum is COMPLETLEY GONE! I just saw someone say that fixed theirs that way so I thought what the hell. I used to have the cable go through the Monster, but when we moved into the new house I didn't hook it back up that way.

If your an old timer in audio, you probably heard his name before, maybe you even met him, knew him, or broke bread with him. He was a well known poster at AA, a manufacturer of fine cables, consultant to Parasound, an audiophile and tweaker savant, and it seems a friend of most all that knew him....
