    freedom of speech-not here

Well, I used to visit this site often and the advice was great. I also thought there was freedom of speech and freedom to express your differences. After all, no one here is an expert in any one subject which is why this forum and others exist. Perhaps ill re-visit in a few months and see if things change. If not, thats fine there are other forums that allow you to express your individual thoughts and advice.
We cannot ALL agree with everyone's opinions or belief's but expressing them is what makes these forums thrive, by controlling the speech or opinions in peoples threads you eliminate that freedom.
Too bad, I have 20 years audio/video experience to share and learn.

Discussion of cables (particularly specific brands) is a bit of a no-no here, since the guy who pays the bills here markets his own cables.

It was meant to used as an explanation of WHY I was asking the question, NOT INFLAMMATORY or to start FIGHTS. Im very curious of the differences between manufactures and supplies used (copper vs. silver) co. vs. co. Every manufacturer states they sell the best cables. Hell in that fact we may as well not discuss speakers or amp manufacturer's either. I believe (MY OPINION) there are more cable manufacturers than audio companies. It was an EXAMPLE only. Perhaps he's RACIST too. Maybe i'll contact my attorney. Since he's soliciting his OWN supplies. *That is a JOKE*

There should be no fear in comparing cables or equipment. If YOU think your is the best why not offer a side by side. I own ALL McIntosh and B&W. My friend hates McIntosh, thats his opinion and we debate all the time, but it friendly. We agree on the speakers though. He owns Klipsch and B&W so we have some debate there as well. OOOOPS I mentioned names. I apologize if im being Inflammatory. im sure ill be blocked from the site soon. Im done venting.

I just read your forum rules and unless im misreading something it states nothing about listing manufactures name. therefore I am being harassed, stereotyped, and my freedom of speech has been violated. I ask the admin to please send me a copy of your rules and regulations or monday I have the option of filing a civil lawsuit. I copy and pasted all the rules in your forums. Not trying to start trouble, trying to understand and be informed.

Participation on this forum is elective and voluntary.

Any other forum I have ever seen is also moderated, with those levels of content restriction varying from next to none, to downright Draconian.

I find a correlation of maturity, civility and value of information in these sites based on where they fall within the two extremes. From vulgar and anarchist to toddler-approved, one the best and worst things about the internet is that if you look long enough, you can always find ‘evidence’ to support your own agenda.

No. You don't. This is a private site and it is under NO obligation to allow complete freedom of speech. The government cannot suppress your freedom of expression (except in very limited cases and ways) but a private discussion board, to which one is free to join or leave at will, can establish any discussion ground rules it wants. You don't have to like it. But you do have to live with it (or simply leave).

Anyone who threatens a lawsuit and then immediately states "not trying to start trouble" is, at the very least, demonstrating a lack of consistency of thought.

I'm not sure of the point here... if we're talking about filing a lawsuit, but also saying "not to start any trouble"... I don't get it.

Agreed. I'm still looking for support for the "make Chris D rich" agenda.
