Flowers blooming, grass growing... you know what that means!

Ok, maybe a bit premature for our northern brothren, but down south, things really starting to bloom and grow. So, I like to pass along a little friendly advice about ear protection at the start of the mowing season.

To many years, I mowed without it, but since last year, I don't start a mower or weedeater without my ear plugs in. You 2 channel fans, that like your orchestra music, and such, this warning holds especially true. Protect your ears now, so that you can hear those suttle nuances in the music for years to come.

I played Rock and roll as a teenager, a drummer. I know my ears have taken a beating before. So, it's time to protect them. I recommend you do the same. Good llistening, and fast mowing to ya.

Being a northerner, I won't have to worry about cutting grass for awhile yet. Anyway, I use an electric and it isn't very noisy. But being a trumpeteer in my younger days in both big band and little band, the ears can take a beating. Of course, with all that brass we didn't need electronic amplification, and I still recall times when my ears buzzed long after the gig.

For those who were asking, here's a "hard" copy of the review. This PJ is one that I've been looking at for a while, and finding good stuff.

          What's with all the re-releases?

Are they giving us anamorphic editions? Special editions with more extras? Just a fruitless attempt to get yet more cash out of us?

I'm curious. Sure, I've seen some rereleases with extras, but I wonder why the sudden what seems to me an...

An interesting finding recently while, get this riding my John Deere 133 Lawn Tractor. Most of you know how loud a mower can be, blades engaged, RPMs flying. Well, recently, I have begun to think more about my hearing, and being able to continue to enjoy musical details as I get older.
