    SVS SS info

The fine folks at SVS have some pics and pricing info for their top of the line SVS SS unit.

    Let the drooling commence.

I'd like to see what one would look like in rose but I'm not to fond of the new look. Then again in person I'm sure they'd look a lot nicer

I agree with you Andrew... when i first saw the pics yesterday i wasn't to crazy bout the look. Like you said though, probably looks better in person. I still love my 20-39PC....kicks major butt.

I agree..That photo is not going to sell too many units..
Hopefully they show some of the other available finishes..

The SS will have to be on my list. Black would be good for me.

Doesn’t look too bad to me. Lex needs to talk to TV to get the Cats as the cables.

Actually Mark, thanks for the thought. I did talk with SVS about cabling before SS introduction.

CAT is now a business partner with Adire Audio. Neither of us directly build anything for the other, but Adire recommends CAT Cables, and CAT recommends Adire Subwoofers. We now feature a subwoofer cable option specifically recommended for Adire's sub line, since it can't use a locking barrel RCA due to space considerations. Adire will be using CAT Cables at many shows in the future-

I'm sure the SVS SS subs sound wonderful, but they really do look like the proverbial water heater in that finish... I think "basic black" would be a better choice (but of course that is the finish I have for all of my speakers). :>)

Whoops -- double post -- the speakers may come in pairs, but my comments above would apply to both. No need to read it twice. ;>)

I don't work for SV, but I do like their subs.

Please remember this is a prototype, not a production piece.

Lighting isn't that great in the photograph and it shows.

I imagine the final product will have much better cosmetics than this.

                  Regards,

Anything that out guns there current subs is scary!

I know my 20-39 still awes me as much today as when I first received it.

Guys, this thread has done what it was supposed to do. To get any more promotional value than this, SVS needs to advertise here, so I am locking this thread to fade off the page-

Remember, this is not a case of a customer having a sub, it is therefore promotional in nature even though one of us started it.

Yes, I allowed this to stand for a good while, but I won't allow it to be popped to the top again and again for weeks-

It's no reflection on SVS, I like those guys too. It's just business.

                        SVS SB12-plus + 800 series?

Just when I thought the sky of options was clearing a bit I came along the SVS SB12-plus :x .

Does anyone have an idea how this sub competes against for instance a Velodyne SPL1000-R/1200-R?

I allready demo-ed the ASW700 at home and I was actually not that impressed,...

I'm just a simple guy who loves HT. Like many I heard A LOT about SVS and their subs...then I saw that their new PCi line was coming out. I pre-ordered one of their 25-31PCi's and waited patiently.

Then the day came...my UPS tracking number! I couldn't wait to see if the Sub would live...

Taking a look at the M51 on the bench is something I've been meaning to do a long time- but now that it's going to a new home, the urgency is much higher- in the past, it just never floated to the top of my current list!

I've used the M51 with a variety of associated...
