Kevin set us back removing the spammers, we lost like a thousand members due to his setbacks. Plus bannished spammers continue to be deleted from member list. I suppose it was the right thing to do anyway, but it hurt like h.... We'd already be at 10K were it not for that, lol.

It's just a number... we can show that we have 9000 quality members, rather than 10K where 10% of them never even confirmed their membership. The members I deleted a few months back all had zero posts.

For a current breakdown: 8,605 are regular registered members, 19 are moderators, 5 are administrators, 179 are awaiting email confirmation (these are the ones I prune every few years), 45 are banned and 141 are dungeoned numnuts (these may be pruned periodically as well).

I'll wait until we surpass 10K before doing another prune, and only then as long as the prune doesn't drop us below the 10K mark. If I bother to prune at all...
