    Fosgate Audionics Is Back!

I was at an audio store today. While I was there, a rep from Fosgate Audionics strolls in with a new amp and a pair of monitor speakers. He stated that they are re-launching Fosgate Audionics with a few new amps and atleast three sets of speakers. And of course the PLII pre/pro.

I was pressed for time so, I didn't get alot of info. The five channel amp I saw was a beast! A plain silver front and looked to be a tad larger than my 27TX Elite receiver. The speakers had a two position switch on the front. This switch was suppose to help tame bright rooms from what the rep said.

I am kinda excited that they are back. I have always enjoyed the products and still use a couple of them today.

May 1 is the official launch date.

Excuse my ignorance, but is this anyway related to RockFord Fosgate?

Sorry for taking awhile Bing. Had a good weekend

Rockford is a sub-divison of Fosgate Audionics. Jim Fosgate is the legend that developed "Rock Mode-H/K AVP1a", 6-AXIS-Citation", "Logic7-Lexicon". Harman Industries bought Fosgate sometime back, which is why, all these divison of Harman can use the the various names of the same "Logic7" technology.

If you go to the website: http://www.fosgateaudionics.com (sorry I'm not good with hyperlinks), it will give you a brief history of the above and company.

PS, His new Pro-Logic 2 is an extension of that same work.

Logic 7 was invented by DR. David Griesinger of Lexicon (another Harman company). Logic 7 and 6-Axis were developed independently. 6- Axis was a forrunner of Pro Logic II, although they are quite a bit different. Jim Fosgate has been working with surround for decades and his work continues to get better and better. And it was great 20 years ago!

Hey Buzz, thanks for keeping me straight! :B It was my understanding that they were all out of the same mold but, implemented differently over the years. I guess I was wrong. I apologize for any bad info that I put out above!

Got a new amp! (Emotiva LPA-1)
                    by John Holmes
"Friday the 13th", turned out the be a very good day for me! It was the day that my 63lb, 19 inches deep, LPA-1 amp arrived. The UPS guy was not a happy camper (I live in a second floor apt). He called me on the phone while sitting outside of my home to make sure I was there.

I've been lurking for the last couple weeks (since I recently found this fantastic forum!), and decided to hop on board and try to learn some more! It appears that there's a veritable fountain of knowledge here, and even though I get lost in most of the science and theory...

                    Amp comparison
                    by bf_brock
I'm currently running a Fosgate Audionics 4200 to power my mains which are Khanspires. My question basically is how for the Fosgate compare to other amps out there? Would I see an improvement from amps like Emotiva, Parasound, Rotel, Sunfire in 2 channel music performance?

If this ever makes it to market I am definately going to demo one. By the way, what you are looking at is the tube (valve) prototype Fosgate Audionics Dolby Pro Logic II preamp....

There are a quite a few new AV processors out there we don't get to see or hear much about, and I was wondering if anyone here has anything to say about them. Here are a few:

                    2. Cary Audio Cinema P-7 or P-8
