    recording news clip

    HI.
New here but I have a question. I missed the news last night and there was a feature that I would like to tape. I found the newsclip on the tv station website. Is it possible and legal to record the segment on a DVD? If it is legal, how would I do this?
    Thanks for the help!

Hmmm. Not sure of the legality but it was a newscast, so if I understand correctly that puts it in the public domain and you should be okay to record it to some media. Now, if you are going to burn multiple copies and charge for them, that would definitely make it illegal. You know how some people record favorite football games to watch again privately? Same thing - I think.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will hop in if I'm off base. . . .

Recording TV audio broadcast onto portable media
        by 4_everyman
I'm looking for some advice on an audio/video project.

        Here are the facts:
I'm a fan of the Imus in the Morning program. The program is carried on a local AM station starting at 6:00 AM. The first three hours of the Imus program are also simulcast on MSNBC from 3:00AM-6:00AM (I...

Tape loop / record-out source select
        by Bob_Collins
Ok guys, I have a question to pose. Are there any Home Theater receivers or processors out that include the venerable, old “tape loop” function? I’m referring to the ability on older stereo equipment to select a source for recording out to the tape outputs, but still allow you to choose to listen...

Michael J Fox Guested on Boston Legal
        by Lex
Michael played a good role, and did it justice. Apparently he's managing his Parkinsons fairly well so far. That's good news. He's been on the last 2-3 episodes, but not sure if his part will carry over to the next show.

He played a wealthy terminally ill guy with various run ins with...
