As many of you know, at least one forum doesn't allow the moderators to participate in contests. This never really sat to well with me personally watching other folks have a chance at winning stuff. I mean, if the owner keeps the contest honest, what could be wrong with the guys that help you every day being able to participate right along with everyone else? Obviously, whoever is giving a prize away, shouldn't enter.
I won't ask you to post here. I am going to assume that most people would be ok with this. But if you have a problem with it, I ask that you email me about this.
I want this forum to be fun and fair for everyone, and that starts by getting input from you all when I am in doubt about how something would be perceived.
I know how I feel about this. I mean moderators give a lot of themselves for the good of forums, and more importantly, their members. Why shouldn't they have a chance to participate, as long as they are not a part of the selection process?
