Recently joined and got great help fixing my Cambridge audio 640c so I thought I'd try again. I have a Panasonic sa-xr15 AV amp which started showing fault code f76 and switching off. It would turn on again but only for a few mins. I disconnected everything and then reconnected. It worked faultlessly for a few days and then blew the plug fuse. I've taken lid off and nothing obvious burnt or damaged. Has anybody got any ideas if this is fixable? I have basic soldering skills. Any ideas very welcome.

Find and visually check the power supply board in the unit. Look for crowned (bulging) and/or leaking capacitors. Replace any bad ones you see, remembering to observe polarity and discharge the unit. Unplug and press the power switch before letting it sit for at least 8 hours (overnight is good). That's a good place to start. Hope this helps.Lee
