    Tidal on iOS

Hi everyone, hope all is well with you all. I recently signed up for a free trial of Tidal and I am using it on an iPhone 6 Plus. I'm having a hard time hearing a difference between Tidal and Apple Music, specifically on my iPhone. Has anyone else A/B tested Tidal against Apple Music ON an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)? I would most definitely hear a difference on my stereo, but on my phone I'm hard pressed to hear much of a difference. I've read that Apple Music streams at 256kbps AAC, and Tidal (on iOS) streams 1411kbps AIFF (it's usually FLAC but iOS doesn't support FLAC, AIFF is pretty well the same thing) Thoughts?

I'm having a hard time noticing much difference on resolution on short listening timed (like you typical do on listening tests).
Loudness issues on the recording has MUCH more impact on the sound image.
However, on long time listening I habe notice a lot more listening issues, like not feeling engadged, getting "heavy" or "tiered" in the head, not getting the "soul feeling" and so on when listening to low res music.
But not iTunes vs Tidal, only Sporify vs Tidal Hifi.
(You are testing Tidal HIFI and have HIFI turned on in the spp settings?)

I want to make sure I don't get sued for referencing the phone without their copyright.

Can you guys believe people are waiting in line for the release of this phone? Some people are even paying people to stand in line for the, lol.

I find it hard to believe that a phone...

Is there data loss when converting WAV to AIFF
      by mb225
I'm cleaning up my iTunes digital music server, getting everything tagged correctly and putting in missing album artwork, etc. When I originally ripped CDs I was ripping them as WAV but switched to AIFF format in iTunes about 1 year ago. So 70% of my music is stored as WAV and 30% as AIFF. The latest...

So the Apple press conference is going on now.

iPhone7 and Amazon just posted up some cases about an hour before the start of the press conference.

So dual lens camera and no 3.5 mm headphone jack. Faster processor and probably a IP67 rating. Those are the rumours to be confirmed...

I am testing the inputs on my new RSP-1576MKII. When I connect my iPhone XS, IOS 14.4.1 to the front USB Input of the processor, I get no sound. The input is configured correctly and it recognizes the iPhone as connected. In the AirPlay display for the iPhone's Music app, the speakers indicated are...
