My 1st DAC: used Musical Fidelity A3-24

Hi,

For a few hundred $ I bought the A3 from a co-worker who was upgrading. It's older (2003?) but seems to be quite highly rated @ the time.

Since I don't have a CD player, what are my options for low-cost streaming from Tidal or a similar site?

I don't want to spend $ until I have a better idea where/how it will fit into my system?

well, that depends a lot on your budget. Options go from things like a PC with an S/PDIF output, to any number of bonafide streamers at a wide range of prices.

unfortunately, you get what you pay for! AURALiC introduced a low cost version of the Aries, but low cost is relative.

There is also a version in between, not using as good a power supply, and not having as good clock circuitry.
