I you want an alternative double-duty system I would recommend the Paradigm Atoms and the matching center. The Atoms are less than half the cost of the CM1s but approach the sound quality.

I have a HT setup now with the CM1 and CMC with a Pioneer Elite receiver. It is very good, for the cost I would say outstanding. As for Bose, I have been to houses where a Bose system was playing music that I knew and liked but had to leave, the sound was so grating. Perhaps Bose is tolerable for movies but IMO not for music, not even close. I would strongly encourage you to keep the CM1s.

      CM speakers vs Bose
      by fredflinstone
I used to have RF 52 from Klipsch and I didnt like it very much and I bought couple of CM1s and they sound lively and much better than RF52s. But my friend just came in and said I should have spent a few more bucks and bought Bose instead.

I bought these for 400/speaker in CA.

      Problem with distortion on CM1s
      by cholas
I hope this is posted in the right place. If it is I would greatly appreciate some help with the following problem:

I am experiencing severe distortion via my FL and FR B&W CM1s. It only seems to happen during particularly loud explosions viz: The first bomb going off in The Hurt...

      CM1s on a bookshelf?
      by stevesfl
Considering purchase of two CM1s for R/L speakers for home theater. Wife has vetoed floor stands, so am wondering if placing the CM1s on bookshelves on either side of TV will be a problem? Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thx

      Used CM2s or new CM1s?
      by alec4444
      Hello all,

First post here; hopefully not my last. I currently own a bunch of old, mass market electronics and I'm looking to upgrade to something better. Basic plan of action:

Step 1: Get the Rotel 1550 Surround Receiver. I can hook this up to some older style Polk...
