    Speaker placement issue.

    Just relocated to Trumbull CT.
Have finished basement with built in TV area.
There are three rows of shelves surrounding the tv area.
Have B&W602s3 for fronts and a LCR60 center.
How will sound be affected if 602s are on their side?
Should tweeters be to the inside or outside?
The center will have a piece of wood right in front of the tweeter if centered.
I probably will remove it ( would prefer not to), but since the LCR60 is a 2.5 setup could I offset it so the wood blocks some of the woofer side or the mid side?
I know I can experiment with various positions but am hoping
that someone had a similiar situation and can offer some advice.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know of any clubs or groups in this area?
I am a senior, have entry level stuff but I enjoy the sounds and talking about audio equipment.
    Thanx again Ron526.

how about some pictures it would be easier to advise. The B&W 600 series are great sounding speakers for the money.

I think you won't want to hear this, especially if you've built the cabinet yourself, but...

If you are planning on placing speakers within your HT cabinet – don't.

This is the single worst thing you can do... it will defeat almost any attempt for quality sound... free-standing speakers are meant to be just that, they need space around them to play against the room and perform properly... placing a box inside another box can never yield clean, accurate sonics.

The biggest obstacle to good sound is home decor... they're like oil and water... giving preference to one always involves compromise to the other.

If it's at all possible (and I understand that it may not be), try placing all three front speakers in front of the HT cabinet if only to test the difference.

      Good luck.

Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring
production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid.
