    Dual subwoofer configuration

Hi all, first post on this forum so please bear with ignorance!

I recently added a large windowless HT room (7x6x3m) to my house, in brick and mortar (with a solid 350mm thick cement slab as roof). I also have a rather old set of AV components, but this is not the reason for the post. (Neither are the damping requirements, the room is understandably super bad at the moment).

The real question is this: I am wondering whether one can DIY two large subwoofers, one on the floor in the front, and a similar unit in the back up against the roof. If you drive these two differentially (out of phase for all frequencies), will this create acceptable bass while reducing standing waves? (I.e., the listener is still in the sound-field, without the room being pumped.)

    Or is this a no-no?

    Any help will be appreciated!

Single vs Dual Channel Measurements, or why friends don’t let friend use USB mics
        by Reet
What does single channel or dual channel measurement really mean, and what are the implications of choosing one over the other? This document aims to help answer this.
Strictly speaking, a microphone is a single channel of audio input, in that it is a mono signal. USB microphones which include integrated ADC and USB codec can be considered a single channel device.

Dual channel would be a measurement which includes a second channel of signal input in addition to the microphone....

Since I got so much information by reading through this site when I was planning and working on my project I thought I would have a little "Show & Tell". I originally started thinking about replacing my sub with something larger about nine months ago. I really liked the sound of my sealed...

Worried about my concrete block/mortar wall
        by SteveL
I've got a good jump on my dedicated HT construction, but now I'm starting to worry about things... I'm building the HT in my basement, and it will have finished dimensions of 15' W x 21' D x 8.5' H.

The "front" of the HT will be on the "wall" of my house that is...

        802d room configuration
        by wildmda
        All,

I am trying to decide if my room will work with an 802d. I have a room that is oddly shaped and is upstairs.

I have an entertainment center on one wall.

Left side: Next to the entertainment center on the left is a doorway. On the other side of...
