Hei
I have been running a complete Tik setup for some years now and the Tik Sub is almost identical to the "New" Array 1500,simular design and the same element (correct me if I am wrong) the Tik use a smaller 600 watt amp,but has better adjustments and connection possibileties.
The sound is firm and dry,no "wobbling" here,I am upgrading my front speakers to the JBL K2 S9800 and will do some changes in the set up,but I will for sure keep my Tik sub's :T
Check the link at the bottom to see my old set up,I will add new pictures from time to time and it is in Norwegian, but you will get the idea.

I have a pair of JBL L60T's. These were part of the series that had the first titanium tweeters. They have genuine walnut veneers. I really wanted the L100T, however, they weighed 75 pounds each and moving them would have been a problem.
The subwoofers that you posted the links to, do not have much response below 25Hz. I would buy something from an internet direct company such as HSU, SVS, Ed, or Epik. For about $725 you can get a subwoofer that will be flat to below 20Hz.
In fact the SVS PB-10NSD for about $495 delivered would be flat from about 18Hz on up. JBL is good for mains, centers and surrounds but there are better subwoofers.- Bottom

Loffen/Espen, consider yourself on notice, we do not talk to other members that way here. This is warning 1. Additionally, we do not allow links to other forums in your signature. You'll have to put your gear at another location to link to it here.

And I am also sorry for the link to my setup on a Norwegian site,I really had no idea that it was against the rules.

I will try to be a litte bit more informative.
My problem here is that you have listed two subs in different categories.
The Studio L8400P is a great sub in the midrange segment, this is a class with many competitors, all saying that they will give you the most bang for the bucks.
I do not think that you will find any sub in this segment that will be flat from 18Hz and up but many will have a great "fun factor".
The Array 1500 is in the High end category,it is not on the top,but it will give you a good value for the money, remember that even small nuances in this category will cost you an arm and a leg.
It will be able to give you clear and undestorted bass at high listening levels even in larger rooms.
Like my two Tik subs you will feel the low frequencys long before you can hear them.

by rhubarb9999Here is a project I put together over the Labor Day holiday. The drivers are 3 1/2" Panasonic full range speakers from a guy on eBay. My original plan was to clone the Bose L1 system for use with my band .. but the band broke up. So I decided to build a quick and dirty (and cheap) line array...-

by DL86Curious on peoples opinions on the above. I heard two of these subs at my work place playing some recorded music and they absolutely blast bass, more than what my SVS PB-13 ultra is capable of 8O . How would they sound in a home audio set up? I understand the lowest note they play is about 35 Hz or...-
