    Video processing

    Quick question.

I have a pioneer 4360 with a native resolution of 720p. My DVD is a oppo 981 that scales to 1080p (set to 720p). How do i know what is doing the scaling? The DVD is connected directly to the Plasma by HDMI. My intention is to have the DVD do the scaling but i'm just not clear as to how.

    Any help would be great.

    Thx,
    Peter

Well technically your Pioneer is probably 1024 or 1368 x 768...so not "actual" 720p (1280x720). So technically the Oppo is scaling to480i/p DVD's to 720p and then your plasma is scaling that to it's native 1024 or 1368 x 768.
